One Step Beyond
I thought I'd seen every cool show ever - until I discovered maybe the coolest one of all - One Step Beyond! This show aired for 3 years and premiered in 1959 - 9 months before the similar Twilight Zone. Being a huge fan of Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone, I was shocked to find out that Serling seemingly stole his whole routine from OSB. This show is very similar to the Zone - many of the same actors - but unique in that all the stories are based on real paranormal occurances. The show touches on a slew of weirdly cool topics from premonitions of disaster to spirit walk-ins to falls from the sky. There's one great episode where the host, John Newland, takes psychedelic mushrooms and trips on air!
I found a 50 episode set at Walmart for $5 - and Netflix also has a 12 disc set. A must see for any fan of the paranormal and all things cool.
